Farmer’s markets have been growing rapidly in the U.S. over the past 10 years with more than 8,100 markets in operation nationwide in 2013, according to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The markets help Americans eat local, fresh and healthful foods, while supporting growers and ranchers directly and keeping dollars in the area economy.
Use these links to find farmer’s markets closest to you, at home or while traveling. Many of the state groups listed also help farmers, CSAs or artisans hook up with grants or programs that promote local foods.
